Dear Legacy Families,
Thank you for your continued engagment and support of our Safe Return to School plan. Many of you have questions regarding online vs. in-person learning, community education programs, and health and safety measures. We are pleased to share our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page and downloadable PDF to help answer common questions from Legacy families.
As a result of Governor Doug Ducey's Executive Order delaying the start of in-person learning, Arizona schools may begin the school year prior to Aug. 17 through online learning.
We are currently planning to start our school year online for all students on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Our goal is to then transition to our two learning options on Aug. 17, or as soon as we are permitted to reopen our school buildings. We know you have many questions, and we will address them as soon as we have more information to share.
We also want to re-share the learning options that students will have for the 2020-21 school year.
Students will be able to choose between the following two learning modes: In-Person Learning Students return to campus when in-person learning begins with health and safety measures in place. Online Learning Students return to school as a remote student, with 100% of learning completed online. You can read more details about the learning options, as well as our health and safety guidelines, at the following link.
Selecting Your Child's Learning Option Yesterday, you received an email with instructions for selecting your child’s learning mode through SchoolMint. Please respond with your selection no later than July 19, 2020. If you did not receive the email, you may access your selection form in SchoolMint here.
If a student wishes to change their selection, it may only be done at the end of a quarter/grading period. Additionally, there will be a weeklong grace period beginning the first day of school in which a student may change their selection.
Details on changing the selection will be provided at a later date.
