Dear Sycamore Community School District 427 Families,
The District will continue to follow the eLearning Plan that has been in place since the initial school building closure on Monday, March 16, 2020. Our previous communications regarding the plan can be found on our COVID-19 Resources and Information webpage.
As a result of the Governor’s Executive Order to suspend in-person learning for the remainder of the 2020 school year the District is working on details for student pick up of any essential personal items left in buildings. These details will be communicated to families by their building administrator at a later date.
We will be sharing plans for Senior Awards Night and graduation honoring the Class of 2020 next week. More specific details regarding these events will also be communicated by Sycamore High School administration to Senior families
We will continue to support our students needing meals during the closure. We ask that you please complete the following Breakfast and Lunch order form for the week of Monday, April 27, 2020. Meals will be available for pick-up at Sycamore High School on Monday, April 27, 2020 (3 days of meals will be provided), and Thursday, April 29, 2020 (2 days of meals will be provided). Please complete the form by 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Upcoming eLearning Schedule
IHSA Spring Season The IHSA announced this week the cancellation of the State series for spring events. More information from IHSA regarding summer contact days and further updates will be communicated as they become available. As a result, all spring athletic fees will be refunded to student’s accounts.
If you are having issues with your Chromebook and don’t have an alternative way to access your eLearning, please email helpdesk@syc427.org.
In the coming weeks, we will continue to update you on important events that typically occur in the spring.
Continue to keep those in mind facing health and/or financial challenges during this time. We also encourage you to support local businesses through words of encouragement and/or purchases.
Sincerely,
Kathy Countryman Superintendent Sycamore Community School District 427
