NEW COVID-19 update: Government of Alberta COVID-19 announcement scheduled for 4 p.m. December 8. ACAC is monitoring

Dear Colleagues,

The Government of Alberta will be making an important announcement at 4 p.m. related to COVID-19. This announcement, with Premier Jason Kenney, Health Minister Tyler Shandro, Minister of Jobs, Economy and Innovation, Doug Schweitzer and Dr. Deena Hinshaw, is expected to bring in new restrictions and measures to fight the pandemic.

The ACAC is monitoring the announcement and will be reviewing all public health guidance and actions. We will provide you with information on the potential impact of these new or expanded measures on your clinics and practice, tomorrow.

Continue to follow the ACAC COVID-19 Pandemic Practice Directive and any local bylaws or regulations related to public health protocols.
