![]() NEW ONLINE PROGRAM OPEN FOR REGISTRATION
May 4 - May 7, 2021 This online offering of the Inherent Right to Indigenous Governance Program will illuminate foundational principles of effective and responsible governance. Together we will explore the relationships that animate Indigenous governance (historical and contemporary), our resources for revitalizing and creating new governance processes, the possibilities and challenges of rights recognition and implementation, and various pathways to Indigenous resurgence within the current legal and political context.
Participants will reflect on their own gifts, responsibilities and entitlements rooted in law and policy with an aim towards imagining and identifying concrete actions they can implement in their current positions.
Financial aid is available for Indigenous learners and those working within Indigenous organizations/communities.

A TESTIMONIAL FROM OUR ONLINE PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS “Banff Centre and the Indigenous Leadership Program has allowed myself to broaden my mind and way of thinking and truly connect with myself and the work that I do both professionally and personally. I would like to thank the Banff Centre and the program for all the wonderful experiences. The most recent was the virtual PMIO course, where I was able to connect with my entire cohort and faculty not only at that course level, but felt that I was able to connect with everyone on a more personal level. An experience I am truly grateful for.” - Waylan Cameron Project Management for Indigenous Organizations Online Program Participant, Fall 2020
