DOE Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency Alex Fitzsimmons to Speak at IACMI Fall 2020 Virtual Members Meeting
DOE's Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Alex Fitzsimmons will make opening remarks as our upcoming Fall 2020 Virtual Members Meeting gets underway Wednesday, October 7.
During his remarks, Alex will highlight the important contributions of IACMI members both to the immediate COVID recovery and to the long-term future of America’s manufacturing sector.
In his role, Alex leads a diverse energy efficiency program and R&D portfolio that includes advanced manufacturing, building technologies, federal energy management, low-income weatherization, and intergovernmental partnerships.
As part of senior leadership, Alex advances administration priorities and initiatives to improve the energy efficiency of America’s homes and businesses and to strengthen the energy competitiveness of the U.S. manufacturing sector.
Alex is a graduate of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

In it, panelists will explore the transition from laboratory to demonstration and validation to commercialization. They’ll also weigh in on the paths they took, what big hurdles they experienced, how those hurdles vary by market, and what role IACMI can, does, and has played in the process.
Join us as we welcome Tom Drye of Techmer PM, Mohamed Bouguettaya of BASF, Andrew Maxey of Vartega, and Steve Nolet of TPI Composites, Inc. as they share their experiences.
