Dear regulated members,
As part of the operational and governance review to implement both Bill 30 (modernizing professional oversight by increasing public members on Council) and Bill 46 (separation of college and association functions), ACAC Council has made the following decisions:
- Council size has been reduced from 12 to 10, with five regulated members and five public members.
- The College will resume use of the name “College of Chiropractors of Alberta” when the separation of college and association functions is complete.
Work to implement Bills 30 and 46 is ongoing with the focus on transitioning from a joint organization to a single mandate regulator as defined in the Health Professions Act. As part of this work the Council nominations process is under review with information expected to be available in June.
Sincerely,
ACAC Council
